Project overview

Covington & Burling relocated from 265 Strand to the newly developed 22 Bishopsgate, occupying approximately 27,000 sq ft across four floors.

  • 1,800 horizontal Cat6A Ortronics outlets across 3 floors
  • Ortronics OM4 fibre backbone
  • Ortronics copper Cat6A backbone outlets
  • Diverse-route blown fibre solution from Level 51 to Basement
  • 8 Chatsworth patching frames

  • Installation of 48 WAPs

Challenge

The Cabling Group delivered the structured cabling infrastructure as part of the Cat B fit-out across Levels 52, 53, 54 and part of Level 51.

The relocation required a robust communications infrastructure to be integrated into a high-profile multi-floor Cat B fit-out, with resilient backbone connectivity and reliable wireless coverage across the new workplace.



Solution

The Cabling Group installed

A comprehensive Category 6A copper and OM4 fibre solution, including diverse backbone routes, patching frames, cabinet infrastructure and WAPs. The solution provides reliable connectivity and resilience across the new Covington workspace.
