The Data Centre Group delivered the structured cabling and data centre infrastructure for the transformation of the F1 building in Biggin Hill. The scope included Cat6a and OM4/APC fibre connectivity, 48U cabinets, hot aisle containment, in-row cooling and associated copper and fibre patching infrastructure.
The project required the new cabling and IT infrastructure to align with power redundancy and cooling strategies while maintaining consistent standards and interoperability with the wider broadcast environment. The infrastructure also needed to support future expansion and an off-site consolidation centre.
